Ingredients

  • 600ml milk
  • 142ml carton of double cream
  • 100g 70% dark chocolate
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
  • mini marshmallows (optional)

 

Method

  1. Chop the chocolate into small pieces
  2. Heat the milk, cream and chocolate in a small saucepan
  3. Bring to the boil and simmer gently, whisking continuously
  4. Serve topped with marshmallows (or whipped cream, or grated chocolate, or a dusting of cinnamon… whatever takes your fancy!)
